  Need help compiling a list of the latest changes in doctrine and practices

  i have former jws looking at jwfacts.com in order to update themselves with what is happening with the religion, so that they can better understand their jw family.

  it thought it would help if there was a page devoted to what has changed since 2000. .

  2012 oct release of jw.org - jws encouraged to download their own publications and use ipads at meetings and field service.

  i wonder if watchtower society will ever apologize for any of their countless false predictions.

  i suspect it is valid but i really want confirmation before i click those 3 steps.

  there's actually nothing on that screen that says it has anything to do with jwn -- therefore my caution.. len.

  Good Netflix shows to watch

  in the long winter nights you need some good tv shows to watch while you wait for the eternity between seasons of game of thrones.. we've watched marco polo (pretty good) and have just started watching orange is the new black which is not at all what i imagined (didn't know it was funny!).

  house of cards is on the list too as we've heard good things about that.. anyone have any others that are worth seeing?.

  "Johnny Carson, king of late night" -- my wife and I watched it last night. I thought it would be a few hours of highlights of his shows over the years. Yes, it included some highlight moments but it was more than that. It was actually a video biography, very penetrating which included his downs as well as his ups. We'll watch that one again when we have friends over.

  Sabrina, a 1954 movie starring Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, and William Holden. Surprisingly, Hepburn was some 16 years old at the time. Bogart, though playing an excellent role as older brother to Holden's character, was visually too old for the part. He died three years later at age 57.

  Nymphomaniac, a 1913 documentary-like movie. I couldn't get some of the scenes of this one out of my head for several days.  Don't tell the elders on me as this was the most explicit set of visuals I've ever seen in my 74 years. It probes the experiences of one European woman beginning with her childhood years as she relates them to an intellectual stranger who rescues her from a back alley near his apartment. Don't watch it if looking at hundreds of penis' and vaginas are taboo in your book.

  The first episode of Hitchcock is very good, the second is so-so, but I look forward to exploring the rest.

  Touch, with Kiefer Sutherland is quick moving, a bit far-fetched but will probably watch more than the two episodes I've seen.

  The Family. Robert DiNiro et al is well done.  Lots of the stuff that may happen when a Wise Guy and family goes into the Witness Protection program in a foreign country (France).

  The Dust Bowl. Excellent Burns documentary and I learned a lot how that happened in the 1930's. But it can be said in half the time.

  DirecTV -- why also Roku, Chromecast, etc.?

  we already have directv as one of its earliest subscribers (1994).

  we have always had their latest dvrs(where we can skip commercials, pause, slo mo, resume, etc), have their premier insurance for all our hardware, and have their basic entertainment package, including movies, sports, family and music channels -- some over 150 channels that include local channels.

  no premium channels.. i hear folks talking how they love those set top boxes (sticks, dongles, etc) that don't cost an arm and a leg -- a one time charge -- and can forever stream movies and programs.

We have always had their latest DVRs(where we can skip commercials, pause, slo mo, resume, etc), have their premier insurance for all our hardware, and have their basic entertainment package, including movies, sports, family and music channels -- some over 150 channels that include local channels. No premium channels.

  I hear folks talking how they love those set top boxes (sticks, dongles, etc) that don't cost an arm and a leg -- a one time charge -- and can forever stream movies and programs. Yes, you need fast unlimited internet for those to work and we have that.

  Can I save dollars by getting one of these pieces of hardware, then go with the cheapest DirecTV package at some $17 savings.

  you can't move forward to a new, more interesting, possibly much happier life, if you're still looking behind at the former life.. there is so much obsession on here about what the wtbts is doing, and discussing all the forms of injustice and bullshit in the wtbts, or how to bring down the wtbts.

  yes, their doctrines are crazy and they are a cult and cruel to boot.

  Thirty-three years out of the B.S.? How about 37 years? Problem with me is that I still have two boys -- okay, men -- who remain. Plus several grandchildren whom I've never met, not taken fishing, swimming, golfing, or to the mall.

  One never forgets the pain.
